      FluidFlow3 Slurry will have extensive applications in
      the mining, mineral processing, food, wastewater and pharmaceutical
      industries where the design of a pumped systems must take into
      account the effect of a liquid's apparant viscosity and yield
      shear stress.


      
The fluids database enables the
      liquid's physical properties - based on viscometry testing -
      to be entered, with FludFlow3 Slurry
      calculating the relationship between Apparant Viscosity and Rate
      of Shear, as shown in the screen images below.


      


      


      As an alternative approach, test
      values of Shear Rate versus Shear Stress may be entered, with
      FluidFlow3
      Slurry fitting an appropriate
      curve to generate the relationship between Apparant Viscosity
      and Rate of Shear, as shown on the screen images below.

      


      


      
Having defined the liquid type
      in the fluids database, FluidFlow3 Slurry
      automatically selects the appropriate correlation when the liquid
      is defined within the flowsheet model, as shown in the screen
