Engineers using FluidFlow3 can
determine the pressure, flow rate and temperature at any point
around a pipework system. Any type of system architecture can
be modeled, eg open loop, closed loop, branched, etc. Large complex
fluid systems can be rapidly analysed allowing what if"
scenarios to be investigated quickly and efficiently. For the
flow of gases - expansion, temperature change and choked conditions
are all accounted for.
FluidFlow3 will simulate any
steady-state pipe network analysis with a single-phase compressible
or incompressible fluid with optional heat change calculation
at any pipe or equipment item. FluidFlow3 allows different fluids
to enter the network at boundaries and will automatically determine
the physical properties of the mixture where different streams
join.
The image below shows a calculation
of different gas streams combining at junctions within the network.
FluidFlow3 calculates the physical properties of the mixtures
where the streams combine.
