Building a model is simple -


            
    
              
  • Select components for the Component
              Palette and place them on the flowsheet. The Component Palette
              consists of 13 tabs, grouping together similar equipment items
              such as pumps and valves for easy seleciton. The Pipes tab is
              activated in the image below showing 14 separate pipe icons for
              the different pipe materials available in the Pipes database.
              
  • 'Rubber band' pipes between
              junctions and equipment items.
              
  • Snap points can be set to orthogonal,
              isometric on none.
              
  • Amend component characteristics
              via the Input Inspector on the Data Palette.
              
  • Display your results on-screen
              and via the Results Inspector
              
  • Amend the flowsheet by adding
              equipment items to pipes, cut-paste-copy, drag components
            


            
In the image below, the Input
            Inspector shows the input data for the highlighted flow control
