Pipe systems may contain virtually any type of line equipment – pumps, fans, control valves, orifice plates, heat exchanges - and any equipment item for which a pressure drop characteristic is known. Fluid types may be Newtonian, non-Newtonian, 2-phase liquid/gas and particulate (settling) slurries.
As well as steady-state flow, our software can simulate unsteady liquid flow conditions, be they flow and pressure variations over the long term such as changing fluid levels in a tank, pumps and fans starting and stopping or valves modulating or short-term changes resulting in water hammer.
Specific equipment items, such as orifice plates, control valves and relief valves can be sized independently from manufacturers’ own design methods.
We back-up our software with more than 30 years of experience in support and training and can also provide an in-house bureau service for the design of pipe flow systems using our software.
